Holistic Adventures: Sprouts Day 1

It's time for sprouting! Did you know sprouting seeds, grains or nuts makes them more nutritious? I didn't know that before this week. I have fond memories of my mother sprouting alfalfa in a mason jar by the sink, but you know, alfalfa seeds are not as easy to find as they used to be! I found already sprouted alfalfa at the grocery store, but neither they nor the health food store had any unsprouted alfalfa. But, I did get some wheat berries, adzuki beans and white beans. I have some sesame seeds, which seem like they might sprout, so I'll try them too. I don't know if they'll all sprout, but we'll see!

Rinse, cover and soak overnight!
